TransCAD Basics

This website is designed for Caltrans staff who prepare and analyze travel demand model outputs. It provides an overview of the transportation planning process with an emphasis on the basics of travel demand modeling and forecasting. The TransCAD software package, which is a common software package used to develop travel demand models in California, has its own webpage.
